Rock 'n' Role Models was born out of a desire to harness the transformative power of music, creativity, and storytelling. Founded by Paul Brunton, a seasoned creative director with a deep
passion for music and youth development, the project grew from years of experience working with young people in communities, helping them tap into their creative potential. Paul’s journey through
music and storytelling began after a life-changing event in his youth, when a near-death experience inspired him to dedicate his life to creative self-expression and empowering others to do the
same.
Over the years, Rock 'n' Role Models has evolved into a platform that provides individuals, especially young people, with the tools and confidence to express themselves creatively through songwriting, performance, and storytelling. Through workshops, community events, and educational programs, we aim to create opportunities for self-expression that lead to personal growth and stronger communities.
Numerous projects have been created along the way, including Song Book, Busk Stops, Bridge To The Future, Rebel Yell, and The Long and Winding Road. We've also built strong community partnerships with organizations such as The Creative Minds Team, Mauchline Holy Fair, Entrepreneurial Spark, and Kilmarnock FC.
Paul is currently developing a novel written during Lockdown and recording new songs. Most recently, he has served as Lead Artist for East Ayrshire as part of Remembering Together, a nationwide Covid Memorial project.
